Would You Rather... Beauty Version!

So I'm literally the worst blogger ever, sorry! I've just lost all motivation and inspiration to write recently. I'm trying to think of ideas and get some stuff out though, so hopefully I should be back pretty soon. Anyway, I was going through a few blogs and I found a tag that I thought would be pretty fun to do, so here it is; the Would You Rather Beauty Blogger Tag!

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
Definitely my palettes and eyeshadows, I could live without them no problem. I don't wear them as much or as often as I do mascara and eyeliner etc. Plus I think they would cheaper to replace considering I don't own many, and the ones that I do have aren't expensive.
2. Would you rather chop all of your hair off or never be able to cut it again?
Ahhh I don't know! I wouldn't want to chop it all off because I don't suit super short hair, but I wouldn't want to never cut it again because it would horrible and dry. I guess chop it off, because then it would eventually grow back nice and healthy... I hope!
3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Probably pink. I don't think I've ever tried a coral blush actually... I need to find one!
4. If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Clothes. Definitely clothes.
5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Maybe... eyeliner as lipstick? I feel like it could work, especially if your eyeliner is red!
6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
MAC. I don't think we even have Sephora over here, at least not in Scotland. If we had one I would love to go, but right now it has to be MAC.
7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
Probably one eyeshadow, I feel like I could deal with that. I don't think I could live with only one lip colour, it would be too boring!
8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Summer clothes in winter. I much prefer winter to summer. I hate being too hot, and at least if you're cold you can warm up and get all snuggly!
9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
I do love dark nails, but I'd probably go with bright nails because they make me happy.
10. Would you rather give up your favourite lip colour or favourite eye product?
I'd have to go with favourite lip colour, considering that I don't actually have one. My favourite eye product is the They're Real mascara by Benefit and there's no way I could give that up!
11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or messy bun?
Messy bun = no effort.
12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
Lipgloss. I don't wear it everyday so I think I could cope without it.
13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
They both sound awful! At a push I'd probably just shave them all off. I'd rather not have any than have sharpie eyebrows!
14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
I have to go with nail polish. I can't live without makeup. Well I could, but I would never go out in public!

I tag everyone who read this to do this tag, and comment below if you have so I can read it! Like I said, I'll hopefully be back with proper posts sometime soon, possibly with a September Favourites post!

MAC Prep + Prime Review

A few months ago, MAC had this little 'giveaway' on their Facebook page where they were giving away little samples of their Prep + Prime primer. Now, I'm a massive MAC fan and I love free samples so I was really excited when I actually received my little sample. I hadn't read any reviews about it or anything so I had no idea what to expect, but I definitely wasn't disappointed.

I fell in love with this tiny little sample and now I'm super sad that it's practically finished. But I'm definitely tempted to buy a full sized version of it because I'm not ready to let go just yet. This was the first primer I'd ever really used so I didn't have anything to compare it to.

It's white in colour and has a really smooth consistency, and it goes onto your skin really nicely. I actually read somewhere, I can't remember where, that if you mix your foundation with your primer it lasts longer? So I've been doing that and I have actually found that it does last a bit longer than if you apply them separately. It also makes your foundation go on a lot smoother and look a lot better.

Like I said, I (foolishly) didn't use primer before using this one, so I was used to having literally nothing left on my skin by the end of the day. So you can imagine my surprise when I took my makeup off on the first day I used Prep + Prime and actually had a load of makeup still on!

I'm definitely going to be buying the full sized version of this product as soon as I can. If you're like me and you don't like to buy full size versions of products you haven't tried before, I'm sure you can pick up the sample size on somewhere like eBay. I definitely recommend trying this product out, I think it's really great.

Have you tried Prep + Prime before?
Let me know!

I Love This Blush Palette! ♥

A little while ago, Makeup Revolution was so amazingly kind enough to send me some products to try out and review. I fell in love with everything they sent me so today I'm going to share with you one of my absolute favourites: the Ultra Blush and Contour Palette in Sugar and Spice.

Like I said, I was sent this product, but you can pick it up for only £6 which I think is a really good deal. I really love the packaging. It's black and shiny and inside there's a massive mirror which is perfect if you're out and about.

There are eight different shades to choose from, and as you can see from the pictures, most are matte and two are kind of shimmery shades. I really love all the colours, I just think they're so pretty. They're also highly pigmented. I've not had a chance to try them all out yet, but I did swatch them so you can see how they look.

I don't think the shades actually have names, but the one I've been using the most is the second from the left on the top row. It's not too bright or overpowering so I use it for work and everyday wear. I really love how it looks on my skin, it just gives me that little bit more colour that I need in my cheeks. It's really easy to apply and it actually lasts all day too, it's one of the only things left on my face by then end of the day which I think is pretty impressive.

I really love this product and I think I'll be using it for a while before I change over to another blush. Definitely try it out and you won't be disappointed!

Have you tried this product yet? What shade is your favourite?
Let me know!

Primark Gym Haul! ♥

So the fact that I'm doing another haul just shows you how bad I am at saving money! This haul is a little different though as I've recently decided to start going to the gym. I'm not going to lose weight by any means, just to get in better shape since I get out of breath when I go up the stairs! So I decided to go out and buy some nice gym clothes from none other than Primark itself. I'd always walk past the gym section and think that they had such nice stuff, so now I'm buying some!

Crop top - £3.50

The first thing I saw was this little pink crop top that kind of looks like a sports bra. I just love the neon pink colour of it. It fits really nicely too so I can't wait to wear it and be comfortable. Also, I've discovered that literally nowhere sells sports bras in an A cup? I mean, come on, we need sports bras too! So I'll most likely be using this as a sports bra until I can find a real one.

Leggings - £7

The next thing I grabbed was this pair of leggings, which have a neon pink stripe down each leg so they match the crop top which I love. They're a really soft, stretchy material that's not too thick so they're ideal for running. They also have a little picture of someone running on the hip which I think is pretty cute!

Socks - £2

I also picked up a little pack of ankle socks which have little phrases on them which I like. There were loads of colours and styles to choose from but I liked these ones best.

Leggings - £6

I got another pair of leggings, yoga ones this time. They're also really soft. They have a grey waistband that kind of reminds me of the leggings from Victoria's Secret, which I love. And again they have a little picture of someone doing yoga.

Tank top - £2

If I'm being honest, I only bought this shirt because it had been reduced down to £2. But I do actually like it. It's really loose and comfortable and I love the neon yellow/green and grey layering.

Trainers - £12

The final thing I bought, and possibly my favourite thing were these trainers. I was desperate to find some nice, comfortable trainers since I own none and I can't really go to the gym without some! I saw these and immediately loved them. They're no Nike's, but they'll do for now!

I hope you enjoyed this haul and seeing what I bought. What's your favourite item that I bought? Let me know!

Soap & Glory - Archery Review!

If you read my last post about my mini Soap & Glory haul, you'll know that one of the products I purchased was the Archery eyebrow pencil. Since buying it I have absolutely fallen in love with it, and here's why:

First of all, it was really cheap. It only cost me £8 which I was really happy with considering the product I used to use on my eyebrows cost almost £20! And second of all, it's just so amazing, I actually get excited to do my eyebrows every morning just because I get to use this product, and before I used to hate doing my eyebrows.

It's a two-in-one kind of deal. On one end there's a little brush for your eyebrows, and on the opposite end there's a tiny twist-up pencil. The fact that it's so small is really good because it makes everything so precise and defined. It makes doing my eyebrows so much easier, and it actually makes it quicker, you just twist up the pencil and go! I think so far the shortest amount of time it's taken me has been literally two minutes, which is really good for when I'm rushing to get ready for work in the morning!

Once I've done my eyebrows in the morning, it lasts all day until I come home from work and take my makeup off, which I think is pretty amazing. So it does last a really long time (unless you take a shower or something!)

This is definitely my number one product right now, I actually prefer it over any other eyebrow product I've tried, and that includes HD Brows. From what I've seen online, there's another version of Archery and it's got a tint at one end and the pencil at the other, so I'll definitely be trying that next. But I honestly can't recommend this product enough, just give it a go and you'll see how amazing it is.

Have you tried Archery yet? What do you think of it?
Let me know!

Mini Soap & Glory Haul!

I've really been trying to save my money lately, but I've discovered that I'm possibly the worst saver in history because I went shopping yesterday. I honestly didn't spend that much, which makes a change! Anyway, I've been wanting to try some of the makeup from Soap & Glory for a while now. I'm a massive fan of Soap & Glory, so I couldn't resist going into Boots and having a look.

The first thing I grabbed was the Archery eyebrow pencil. I've read so many good reviews about it and just couldn't resist trying it for myself, especially since my eyebrows are usually such a pain to do. It's got a brush at one end and then a twist-up pencil at the other end, so it's a two in one kind of thing. I got this in the colour Hot Chocolate and it cost £8.

The next thing I grabbed was the Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss which I've been dying to try for a while now. It's basically a lip gloss that makes your lips look plumper. I've read so many things about it and knew that I just had to try it for myself, even though I'm not a massive fan of lip gloss. I got it in the colour Clear (exciting, I know!) and it cost £9

The last thing I picked up was the Supercat liquid eyeliner pen. I've been using another liquid liner for a while now and it's starting to run out so when I saw this I just decided to go for it and give it a try. I just got it in black and it cost £6.

Just a little haul, I know, but I hope you guys enjoyed seeing what I got. I've actually already tried all three products and I'm in love with them. I'll be doing separate reviews for all of them, starting with Archery because I think that's my favourite out of all. I'm definitely going to be looking at the Soap & Glory makeup section more often now after trying these products!

Have any of you tried Soap & Glory makeup products? What do you think of them?

Let me know!

A Little Life Update ♥

Hey everyone!

So I know it's been a while, almost a month? I think? Which sucks, I hate that I've gone this long without making a post about something. But basically a couple things happened recently that I've had to focus on first, before my blog. The main one being that my relationship recently ended, which I was pretty heartbroken about and didn't really feel like posting anything. But I don't want to turn this into a sad post or try to make you guys feel sorry for me, so I'm not going to talk loads about it, but yeah, posting on here wasn't what I was thinking about for a while, sorry!

Hopefully I'll be a little more active now and it'll give me something to do and take my mind off of what's happened in the last few weeks. I've not really got any posts lined up yet, but I'm sure I'll think of something. There's always something to write about.

So yeah,  not the longest or most exciting post in the world but I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still here and I will be posting again, hopefully pretty regularly.

I hope you all are well, what's been happening in your lives? Let me know!

Makeup Revolution - Dia de los Muertos palette!

A few weeks ago I was extremely lucky to receive a couple of products from Makeup Revolution to try out and review and while I received lots of lovely products, my favourite one is definitely this palette. The Dia de los Muertos eyeshadow palette. I first saw it online and fell in love with it straight away due to the skull on the front, I really love those skulls, I think they're so cool. So when I found this in my package I was so excited.

This palette contains 18 shades; 12 shimmer and 6 matte. They range from pretty dark shades to really bright, almost neon shades. I guess they're meant to represent life and death, which I think is pretty cool.

Top: Love Life, Laugh More, Redemption Is Near, Get Busy Living, Affirmation, Get Out There
Middle: Live Life, Smile, Salvation Is Inside, Or Get Busy Dying, Celebrate Life, Turn The TV Off
Bottom: There's No Time To Waste, There Is Always A Way Back, Comeback Queen, Go And Get The World, Live With Passion, Be You.

How beautiful are they all?! I'm absolutely in love with them. I'm not usually an eyeshadow person, but I'm definitely being converted because of this palette. I've only tried out a few shades so far, but from what I've seen they're really really good. I'm not sure I'll wear the really bright yellow shade, but I love to look at it!

I'm definitely going to have to learn how to wear eyeshadow now because I can't wait to wear these shades!

Have you tried this palette yet? What do you think of it?

Mini Beauty Haul!

Since yesterday was payday, today I decided I would go and do a little bit of shopping to make myself feel better. I didn't buy that much because I am trying to start saving my money, but I did buy a few things and I just wanted to share what I got!

 Benefit - They're Real push-up liner

My first stop was Debenhams and I headed straight over to the Benefit counter and grabbed this. It's literally only just come out, but I've seen so many advertisements for it and reviews of it and I was just desperate to get my hands on one. It was pretty pricey for me, but I really can't wait to try it, I'm a massive Benefit fan!

Real Techniques Core Collection

My next stop was Superdrug and the first thing I grabbed were these brushes. My main purpose of going shopping today was to actually get these brushes. I already have the Expert Face Brush and I love that, but I needed more brushes. I'm actually saving up to buy the Zoeva rose gold brush set, but I do love the Real Techniques brushes, so these will keep me going until then!

Tanya Burr Just Peachy lip gloss

I really love Tanya Burr and when I heard she was coming out with her own line of lip gloss and nail polish I was so excited, until I found out that none of my local Superdrug stores stocked it. Well today when I was in I noticed that they actually had the little stand for it, and it was fully stocked! I had a really hard time deciding which colour to get, but I finally decided on Just Peachy. I'm not normally a fan of lip gloss, but I actually can't wait to try this one.

Simple illuminating radiance cream

My last stop of the day was Boots and I picked up the Illuminating Radiance Cream by Simple. I think Zoe (Zoella) mentioned it in a recent video and it sounded really good so I thought I would give it a go, I'm a big fan of Simple anyway so I'll probably end up loving this as much as their other products!

So like I said, just a little shopping trip today. I did go into other stores such as Primark and H&M, but going into town on a Saturday afternoon is never a good idea because it's always heaving with people and I can never get anywhere.

I hope you enjoyed this little haul, let me know if you've tried any of the above products and what you think of them!
