My Favourite Online Stores!

Hi everyone! Today I'm making a little post about my favourite places to shop online. I'm an addict for online shopping, while it's fun for me, it's not so much fun for my bank account. So here are the places I go to first when I want to spend all my money!

I only discovered this site towards the end of last year, but I'm so happy I did. They sell really amazing clothes and I'm pretty much in love with everything they have. I've ordered a few things from them before (I might make a separate post to express my love for them) and they arrived really quickly, which was a bonus considering they came from China, and they were really good quality too! Their clothes are reasonably priced, but they have sales quite a lot too. Definitely give it a look and see what you think!

I'd heard a lot about this website but kept forgetting to actually check it out. Once I did, I immediately regretted it because I literally wanted everything. They have some really really lovely dresses that I'm just dying to buy. I've not had the chance to order anything from here yet, but once I've saved up my pennies I'll definitely be buying as much as I can!

I actually really love eBay, I've used it for a while now and I've managed to find some really good deals, and some really nice clothes. I normally try to buy clothes that are listed as new, because I think It's a little bit weird buying clothes that someone else has already worn, but if I fall in love with something that's not brand new, it's not that big a deal. I'd definitely suggest having a look on eBay before splashing out on a really item because you can usually find it cheaper and save yourself a bit of money!

Romwe is very similar to SheInside, which is why I love it so much. They have some really lovely clothes and they even do shoes as well, which are just as nice. I've not ordered anything yet, mainly because my shopping cart total comes to over £100 and I can't narrow it down to a few things! Maybe one day soon I'll sit down and decide which items I want the most, if I can!

I think Etsy is such a cute little website. It's basically a place where people can sell their handmade items. I've ordered a phone case which was handmade and it was one of my favourites for a while. I have so many items saved in my shopping cart that I'm waiting to buy, including several handmade iPad sleeves which I've been in love with for over a year now! I really need to buy them all. So if you're looking for something cute and handmade, definitely check out Etsy!

What are your favourite sites to shop on? Let me know!

Dealing With Braces! ♥

*credit to original photo owner*

If you're like me and you've had the misfortune of needing braces, you'll know that it's not a fun experience. So today I thought I'd make a quick post to kind of help anyone who might be getting braces soon, or might have just gotten braces.

I had my braces for a little over two years and I have to say it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, and the time actually flew by. At first I really hated them, they were really uncomfortable and my lips were sore and my teeth were aching and I just really regretted getting them. But by the end of the two years, the pain wasn't as bad and didn't last as long.

Anyway, here's some advice!

5 Tips for Dealing With:

The Pain:
The pain is really bad at first, it kind of feels like all of your teeth are loose and about to fall out, and it's not fun. I had to live off tinned pasta and mashed potatoes for a while after I got them on/after getting them tightened. For dealing with it, definitely just take some painkillers, have a hot drink and take a nap, works every time!

Ulcers on your Gums/Lips:
Getting ulcers on the inside of my lips was one of the worst things and it would happen all the time because the brackets on my braces would constantly rub against my lips. Thankfully when you first get your braces, your orthodontist should give you a little box of wax to put over your braces in case they hurt. Use this wax! It saved me so many times and stopped a lot of pain.

Broken Braces:
No matter how careful you may be, there probably will be a time where a part of your braces will break. Mine broke twice, and it was in the same place every time. It was my fault though, I was eating crisps that I wasn't supposed to (oops!). Anyway, if they break, phone your orthodontist and make an emergency appointment to get them fixed, and in the mean time, try to do your best with the wax and 'stick' them back together for the time being. Be careful though because some orthodontists start to charge you if you keep breaking them!

Cleaning isn't the easiest thing when you've got braces. But there are little mini brushes you can get to clean in-between the brackets, and these are really really helpful. I think I went through two packs of these brushes. Also start to use mouthwash if you don't already, it really makes a difference!

After you've done your time with the braces, you'll have the joy of wearing retainers afterwards. Now the only thing I'm going to say here is: wear your retainers! Trust me, you'll regret it if you don't. Even if you don't wear them for a night, you'll regret it.
Just wear them!!!

While braces aren't exactly fun, I'd say they're definitely worth the time and the pain. My teeth were really crooked before I got them on, and now they're a lot better. They're not perfect by any means, but the braces have definitely improved them. So if you've just gotten braces, don't worry, it'll all be worth it in the end, I promise!

I hope this post helped some of you out. I know it's not exactly a beauty or a fashion post, but I just felt like writing it.

Have any of you ever had braces or thought about getting braces? Let me know!

Would You Rather: Beauty Tag! ♥

I was a bit stuck on what to post today, but I really wanted to post something because I wanted to say thank you so much for 400 followers on Bloglovin! I can’t believe 400 people want to read what I have to say! So anyway I looked around online and found this tag done by the lovely Beautiful Solutions, and she tagged everyone to do it, so here we go!

Would you rather: Be able to apply eyeliner perfectly or contour like Kim Kardashian?
Definitely 100% apply eyeliner perfectly. The one part I hate about doing my make-up is my eyeliner, it either works first time, or it takes me three times to get it just perfect. So being able to do it perfectly would be amazing.

Would you rather: Wear foundation that is two shades lighter, or two shades darker?
I’d rather wear it two shades lighter. I’m really pale so wearing it two shades darker would not be a good look. Plus if it’s lighter, you can always use bronzer and blusher and stuff like that to make yourself look healthier and not as pale.

Would you rather: Wear no lipstick ever again, or no eyeliner ever again?
I need eyeliner, it’s the one product I wear basically everyday, not so much liquid liner, but pencil liner. It makes me look a lot better and I feel a lot better with it on. I don’t really wear lipstick that often, even though I would like to wear it more, so I’d probably go with wearing no lipstick ever again.

Would you rather: Give up your foundation or your mascara?
I don’t really wear foundation every day, I only really wear it if I’m have a really bad skin day or if I’m going out for a meal or something special. I wear mascara a lot and it’s one of my favourite things to wear, so I’m going with giving up my foundation.

Would you rather: Wear the same makeup everyday for the rest of your life, or drastically change it every single day for the rest of your life - even if it doesn’t suit you?
I’d probably wear the same makeup everyday for the rest of my life. It seems like too much effort to change it every single day!

Would you rather: Have dodgy brows or patchy fake tan?
I’ve been a victim of dodgy eyebrows quite recently and it’s not a fun experience and you can’t really hide them, so I’ll probably go with a patchy fake tan because at least you can cover it up, you can’t really cover up your eyebrows!

Would you rather: Have perfect white teeth, or have your perfect hairstyle?
Perfect white teeth would be amazing, I’ve had braces before and while I’m happy with the result, they’re not absolutely perfect. As for the perfect hairstyle, it would be nice for a while but I get bored with my hair really easily so I’d want to change it at some point.

Would you rather: Wear the same colour nail varnish your whole life, or be able to change the colour whenever you wish but it’s always a bit smudged?
I hate hate hate hate when I paint my nails and it’s completely perfect until one of them smudges, it ruins everything! So I’m going with wearing the same colour for my whole life, as long as it was a nice colour!

Would you rather: Have your perfumes smell amazing to you (but to everyone else smell like a pine tree car freshener) or have products that smell average to you (but smell incredible to those around you?)
Hmm, probably have products that smell average to me but smell incredible to everyone around me. That way it doesn’t really matter what I wear because it’ll smell amazing to others. I’m not really a perfume wearing girl and the stuff I own just now smells pretty average anyway!

Thanks for reading! I tag everyone to go do this tag!

P.S I just joined Depop, so if you're on there follow me! My username is louiseee___ I'm not really sure how to use it yet though!

My hair is orange?

Okay, so not ALL of my hair is orange. If you read my Boots haul post a few days ago, you'll know that I bought the L'Oreal Preference Intense Ombre blonde dye, and last night I decided to give it a go. I applied it from about chin level downwards and left it to develop for 45 minutes like it said to on the instructions. Then I washed it off and dried and straightened and... now the lower half of my hair is pretty much orange!

While I'm a little bit disappointed that it's not blonde, I actually kind of like it! It's a nice change to my normally dark brown hair. The ends of my hair are a bit dry now, but it's not too bad. I might use a lighter colour of the dye in a month or two to try and get it a little bit more blonde. Last year I used this dye and it took a few times to get it as blonde as I wanted it to be. All in all, I'm growing to love it!

What do you guys think? Is it a yay or a nay? Let me know!

P.S Happy Easter!!

The TMI Tag! ♥

Anyway, I was a bit stuck on what to post today so i started looking around and I came across the TMI tag on Chloe's Way and she tagged everyone who was reading, so I decided why not, lets do it!

1. What are you wearing?
My pyjamas, I'm having a lazy day at home.

Yes, I currently am.

3. Have you ever had a terrible break up?

Not very, I think I barely hit 5ft!

Review: Nailene So Natural Fake Nails

So if you read my last post about my mini Boots haul, you'll know that one of the products I bought were the Nailene So Natural fake nails. I've used Nailene nails before and have always had good experiences, but this time... not so much.

Normally when I buy false nails from Nailene, the nails fit me perfectly and have really smooth edges and are pretty comfortable in general. This time, the edges of the nails were very sharp and the nails in general were too big for my own nails, so I had to spend some time buffing them to make the edges smooth and to get them to fit me.

They went on really easily and the glue kept them on very well, but almost immediately they started to make my fingers hurt. Maybe I just put them on wrong or something, but my fingers were really sore and started to turn red. I figured that maybe it would get better after a bit of time, so I decided to paint them. The colour in the picture above is Fiji by Essie, one of my favourites!

After painting them, my fingers were still really sore and I just decided to take them off. Getting the nails off was probably the worst part, probably because the glue had only just dried, but they were almost impossible. I did manage to pop them all off, but now my nails are very rough and scratched.

So all in all, despite looking very pretty and being really easy to put on, I don't think I'll be buying these nails in particular again. Like I said, I have used other nails from Nailene before and never had any problems apart from this time.

Have you ever used Nailene before? Let me know!

Boots Mini Haul ♥

Hi everyone!

So today I went into Boots to go to the opticians to have my eyes tested, since it's been like four years since my last eye test. Anyway, my eyes are fine, and after my test I had some time to wander around the shop. Seeing as Boots has their 3 for 2 offer on beauty products again, I was tempted to go crazy and buy everything, but I kept myself under control and only bought a few things.

The first thing I picked up were the Nailene medium length fake nails. I used to wear fake nails a lot last year and I was absolutely in love with them, but they ruined my real nails because of the glue so I had to stop wearing them. But today I saw these ones that you can paint any colour you like, so I decided to give them a go. They were only £4.49 which isn't bad. I'll probably try them out tonight, so I'll let you know how I get on!

The next thing I picked up was the Simple Moisturising Facial Wash. I've been looking for a new face wash for a while and I've read good things about Simple so I decided to go for this one. I've not tried it out yet, but I really love the look of the tube, I think it's pretty! This was one of the cheaper items, costing only £3.25.

I then grabbed the L'Oreal Paris Preference Intense Ombre hair dye. I used to use this product a lot last year and I was absolutely in love with how it looked in my hair. But as you can imagine, it did a lot of damage to the ends of my hair so I had to stop dying and cut my hair, which was sad. Now though, my hair is a lot healthier and longer so I decided to give it another go. This is a new shade that's been brought out, so I'm excited to see how it'll look! This cost me £7.50.

The last thing I grabbed was the Tresemme Heat Defence Styling Spray. I've been meaning to get some for a while, but I kept forgetting. But today I saw this mini bottle of it in the travel section and remembered that I needed some, and I'll definitely need it after I dye my hair so it doesn't get ruined again! This little bottle only cost me £1.99!

So I know this wasn't the biggest or the most exciting haul, but I just felt like sharing! I'll hopefully make another post later today or tomorrow after I do my nails. Also, I found my old Canon camera in the back of my wardrobe yesterday morning so I've started using that for my pictures. Do they look better?

Thanks for reading!

Liebster Awards!

So today I received two comments nominating me for the Liebster Award, from the amazing Liannabell and the lovely Toni's Thoughts, and they put a huge smile on my face! Considering I've literally only just started blogging, this is a big thing to me; to be nominated for an award! Anyway, basically I have to write 11 random facts about myself, I'll answer both sets of questions, and then nominate another 11 bloggers to answer 11 questions of my choice.

1. I'm really, really short; only 5ft tall

2. I also have really small feet, size 3 which makes it difficult to find shoes in my size!

3. When I was younger, I was a massive fan of Harry Potter and I actually met JK Rowling

4. I love to watch murder mystery documentaries on Netflix

5. I'm an only child (no brothers or sisters)

6. I have a cat, she the most annoying thing ever, but I love her

7. I really want lots of little tattoos

8. I took driving lessons earlier this year, but I'm too much of a wimp, so I quit

9. I've had my appendix removed

10. I love, love, love, love, LOVE pugs

11. My favourite movie is The Breakfast Club

Liannabell's Questions:

1. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
I'd say my favourite thing is having my own place that I can write about whatever I want, whenever I want. And also knowing that people enjoy to read my blog, and are interested in what I have to say. I also love discovering new blogs and getting to meet new people.

2. What is your favourite fashion accessory?
I love bags. I have way too many of them, but I think a really nice bag can complete an outfit.

3. What is one makeup tip everyone should know?
I'd definitely say the eyeliner tip that I posted here. It's a must!

4. Who is your fashion icon, and why?
I have a couple of people currently who I look up to for fashion tips, but I really love Zoe Sugg (Zoella). She always has the nicest clothes and I wish I owned her wardrobe!

5. What is one trend that you never understood or thought was just wrong?
Hmm, I can't really think of anything, I honestly don't really follow trends that much.

6. If you were stranded on a desert island, what 5 items would you take?
I'd probably want to take food and water, obviously, umm a friend so I had someone to talk to, probably my bed so I don't have to sleep on the ground, and my polaroid camera.

7. What are your 5 everyday non makeup essentials?
Hand sanitizer, my phone, a scrunchie, food, and Diet Coke.
Bit of a random selection, haha

8. What is your favourite makeup brand?
I really like Benefit a lot, the only downside is the price of their products.

9. Who is your celebrity crush?
My celebrity crush will forever be Nick Jonas:

10. What is your favourite non beauty item?
Probably my polaroid camera, I use it all the time and I love it.

11. What advice would you have for new bloggers?
I'd say don't give up easily. It will take time to gain followers and to get your posts noticed, but it will be worth it. Also definitely join Bloglovin because it's a great way to find new blogs and get readers.

Toni's Thoughts questions:

1. If you could be on a reality show which one would you choose and why?
I don't actually watch a lot of reality tv, so I don't really know :(

2. Who would you like to play in a film?
Hmm, that's a tough one. I'm not too sure. But I know that if I was a character in a horror film, I'd be that girl who is always the first to die, haha.

3. What is the most random dream you can remember?
I remember having one a long time ago, and I don't really remember what it was about, but I remember that Johnny Depp was in it, and he was like a biker guy, but he died and it was pretty sad.

4. What is your biggest pet hate?
I HATE it when people chew really loudly in public, it makes me feel physically sick.

5. Who is your role model and why?
I don't actually know, hmm... I don't think I have a role model.

I love Zoella, Tyler Oakley, the Shaytards, Pewdiepie, CutiePieMarzia, danisnotonfire, AmazingPhil and Sawyer Hartman.

8. What is the last thing you had to eat?
A packet of Monster Munch

9. What is your favourite Disney movie?
I've always loved Lady and the Tramp and I think it will always be my favourite. I remember watching it as a little girl and begging my parents for a puppy for Christmas.

10. Who is your favourite Disney character and why?
I think it will always be Minnie Mouse. I've always loved her, I think she's so adorable and I actually dressed up as her for Halloween last year.

11. When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a lot of things. I think mainly I wanted to be an actress, and I even took some professional theatre courses, but I decided when I was a teenager that I wasn't really something I wanted to do.

There we go! So now, here are my questions:
1. Why did you start blogging?
2. How long does it take you get ready in the morning?
3. Describe yourself in 5 words
4. Favourite place you've ever been on holiday?
5. Most expensive item you've ever bought?
6. Who is your celebrity crush?
7. What book are you currently reading?
8. Favourite song at the moment?

And finally, I nominate:

What's in my make-up bag?

1. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

I've been using this concealer for over a year now and I absolutely love it. This is actually one of the cheapest items in my make-up bag, but definitely one of the best. It covers my dark circles instantly and lasts all day without coming off. Sometimes if I'm having a 'good skin day' I'll just put this on and go out rather than put foundation on. I have it in the shade 'Fair' and it matches my skin tone perfectly. This concealer costs £4.19 and I buy it from Boots usually.

2. Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer

Yup, I use two concealers! Not because my skin is horrendous, but because I suffer from really dark circles under my eyes and red patches under my nose and on my chin. This concealer works better at covering my dark circles, it instantly brightens them and makes them less noticeable. The name 'Wake Me Up' is very fitting as it actually makes me look more awake as soon as I put it on. I have this in the shade 'Ivory', which is a little bit lighter than my skin tone, but it blends very well. This costs £5.19 and again I usually buy it from Boots.

3. Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation

I only recently started using this foundation. Previously I had been using a MAC one which I can't remember the name of, but it was too expensive to keep replacing so I switched to this one. I've only been using it for just over a month or so, but I love it already. It's a really nice texture, not too thick but not too runny either. It also smells really lovely, it's kind of fruity. This foundation does a really good job of covering my blemishes and imperfections and it lasts all day. I think I'll be using this product for a while. It costs £6.99 and I bought it from Boots.

4. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner

I've been using this eyeliner for over a year, probably nearly two years actually and I absolutely love it, I don't think I would change to a different pencil liner. It's a good a really smooth consistency and it really does just glide on. For me, it lasts nearly all day and only really smudges if I rub my eyes. I have this eyeliner in the colour 'Demolition' and it goes really nicely with the colour of my eyes. The only downside to this eyeliner is the price. Because it's Urban Decay it costs a little more than I would normally want to pay for eyeliner, but I'd say it's definitely worth the price. You can pick this up for around £14-15 at Debenhams, but I've recently started buying it from eBay for around £7.

5. Benefit Bad Gal Waterproof Eyeliner

This eyeliner was really great when I first got it but now it's started to run out, so I'm looking for other options. The tip of the pen is really smooth and pointy, so it's easier to get a nice cat-eye flick if desired. It does a really good job of lasting all day and it doesn't fade or smudge easily. The only thing I would say is that it runs out really quickly, especially if you're like me and wear eyeliner basically everyday, and because it's Benefit it's not the cheapest product to replace. But I would definitely say this is a great eyeliner and it is worth the money if you're willing to spend it! I think you can buy it from Debenhams for around £15.

6. HD Brows Palette

I have this palette in the colour 'Vamp' and I absolutely adore it. I've had it for over a year now and it does an amazing job of making my eyebrows look a lot more defined and a lot thicker. I have really thin and light eyebrows, so this palette is definitely a must have for me. The palette contains four colours, and as you can see I only really use the bottom left as it's pretty much a perfect match for me. It's not the cheapest at £25, but if you're lucky you can find it on eBay for £19, which is what I did!

7. Benefit They're Real Mascara

I'm absolutely in love with this mascara. I've been using for ages and it still does an amazing job of making my eyelashes look longer and fuller. It genuinely does look like I'm wearing fake eyelashes sometimes. I honestly can't express my love for this mascara, I think everyone should give it a go, I just love the way it makes my lashes look and feel. The only thing I would say is that it's a bit of a hassle to take off at the end of the day, but maybe that's just because I use a lot! It's a little bit more pricey at just under £20, but again if you're lucky you can find it for a lot cheaper on eBay.

8. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

I've never really used powder before, I've never been a fan of it. But when I was buying my Rimmel foundation and concealer there was a 3 for 2 offer so I decided to just give this one a go. I have to say that I've been loving it so far! It makes my skin look very smooth and feel very soft. A lot of powder that I've used in the past has always dried out my skin but not this one. I did get this on offer, but you can get it for £3.99 at Boots.

This eyeliner trick changed my life!

Okay, well I wouldn't say it totally changed my life, but it has definitely improved it by cutting down the time I would spend trying to get my eyeliner perfect. If you're anything like me and spend a good ten minutes trying to get the perfect flick/cat eye look, check this out:

Why didn't I think of this before?!

I was browsing around Tumblr and I came across this and I knew I had to test it out right away. So I grabbed some tape and my eyeliner and gave it a go. It worked first time and I didn't have to correct it or touch it up or anything! I've used this trick every time I've done my eyeliner and have only maybe had to start over once or twice, but that's probably because my eyeliner isn't great. In fact, if anyone can recommend a good liquid eyeliner, let me know!

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8!

So last year, for a while I had seen so many bloggers/YouTubers reviewing this polaroid camera and I absolutely fell in love with it and I wanted one so bad. Then for Christmas last year I finally got one! It came in a little box with a pack of 10 films, some batteries and a matching pink wrist-strap. How cute is it?!

You can buy this camera in a variety of colours including pink (above), blue, white and black. I think there might be other colours too. They're available on eBay and Amazon and you can also pick one up at Argos. The price depends on how many packs of film you want to buy with it. I'd suggest maybe buying one that comes with a couple packs of film, because the film can be kind of pricey to buy individually, but it's up to you.

It's really easy to use, just pop some batteries in it, insert the box of film and you're good to go! The first picture you take will just be the film cover, so don't be confused if you take a really pretty picture and a black square comes out! Once you take an actual picture, it comes out the top and then it takes about a minute or two to develop. I love polaroid pictures so much, I think they're so cute and a really good way to make memories.

So if you're looking for a good polaroid camera which isn't too expensive (less than £100), I highly recommend the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8. It's a great little camera that takes really good polaroids and looks really cute in any of the colours. I think the only downside is the number of times you have to buy packs of film, but apart from that I really love this camera and I think everyone should try one out!

March Favourites! ♥

It's that time again! I know we're into April now, but here are my favourites from the month of March!

LUSH Hair Doctor

I had read and watched a lot of reviews about this product and decided that I needed to buy it ASAP. I'm glad I did because it's absolutely amazing. It doesn't smell great, but it's done wonders for my hair. It's got seaweed, Irish moss powder and peppermint in it which are really good for your hair. I've only used it once so far but as soon as I had washed it off, my hair felt so so so soft and healthy. It does take a while to rinse out, or maybe I just used too much... Either way, you can pick this up for £6.95 in store or online.

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Like the Hair Doctor, I had seen a few reviews about this product and bought it along with the Hair Doctor. It's probably one of my favourite products I've bought in a while. My lips are always chapped and sore, and this does wonders for me. It tastes delicious, and you actually can eat it since it's made mainly of caster sugar! You only need a small amount and just scrub it on your lips and it makes them so soft and smooth. This little pot costs £5.50, which isn't the cheapest but it's definitely worth it.

Essie Nail Polish

I've always loved Essie's nail polish, their colours are beautiful and I love the quirky names of them, so when I saw they were on offer in Superdrug a few weeks ago, I jumped at the chance and bought a couple of my favourite colours. They weren't the cheapest and I was a bit worried in case it chipped off really easily and ended up not being worth the money, but actually they are amazing and it actually stays on for two weeks without chipping, I was thoroughly impressed. My favourite colours are pictured above, left to right: Bikini So Teeny, Mint Candy Apple, Fiji, and Peach Daiquiri.

VO5 Smoothy Does It - Tame & Shine Spray

I actually discovered this product through one of my favourite Youtubers; Zoella (I love her so much). This spray works so well for me, I have naturally frizzy hair and this really straightens and smooths it out. I usually spray it on a brush and brush it through my hair after I've straightened it and it just keeps everything under control. You can pick this up for about £4.
